Every camper has a ball.

Campers who want to learn the game of basketball and want to improve their game are encouraged to attend. Campers should expect to work hard. Enrollment is open to all boys and girls in 4th through 12th grades. Players are divided according to age and grade during instruction and games. The acceleration of instruction is geared to the age and ability of the players.

THE HOOSIER SCHOOL OF BASKETBALL, INC.:

  • Provides a free camp T-shirt to each camper.
  • Offers lower cost to campers due to no overnight or food expense.
  • Offers concentrated, well-coordinated sessions. Each session is designed daily.
  • Is considered by many as "The Blue Chip" Day Camp in the Midwest.

CAMPERS MUST BRING:

  • Camp registration card (received in mail).
  • A doctor's statement of health or your school physical card (2010-2011)
  • Balance due on registration fee.
  • Basketball shoes, socks, supporters, practice clothing, if desired-towel & soap.

We would like to keep camp costs down for our campers. To facilitate staff planning and preparations, we need to reduce the number of late enrollees. We encourage campers to have their application in by May 23rd but we will continue to accept applications after that date.

DRILL FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT

The game of basketball is a very simple game. In recent years, players and coaches have been getting away from the fundamentals and skill development that allow the players to show a steady growth in the development of their game. The simple skills, such as passing, catching, dribbling, shooting, pivoting, cutting, footwork and balance are being neglected. The Hoosier School of Basketball Camp will teach these fundamentals through repetition and skill development drills. Sufficient playing time will be provided daily to see that concepts being taught are applied to the game of basketball. The camp will provide competition challenges for every player and we want each camper to take their game to the next level.
